Job Description
Mission Services of London, a Christian faith based, not-for-profit social service agency, seeks a Full-Time Donor Relations Assistant for a One-Year Contract (Maternity Leave). This position will report to the Director of Development & Communications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide support to the Development Team by executing and reporting back on a number of donor relations, telephone fundraising and stewardship programs, including monthly donor solicitation, asks for fundraising events/campaigns, donor thank you calls, etc. In addition, this role will:

Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide support to the Development Team by executing and reporting back on a number of donor relations, telephone fundraising and stewardship programs, including monthly donor solicitation, asks for fundraising events/campaigns, donor thank you calls, etc. In addition, this role will:
- Utilize provided scripts to engage donor prospects on provided and self-researched lists
- Enter call and other data into the Salesforce database noting any necessary changes to constituent records
- Maintain a record of action items that arise from telephone interactions and follow up directly, or communicate to the rest of the Development team about follow-up that they will need to do as appropriate
- Prepare statistical reports pertaining to telephone programs and suggest potential changes that could be made to increase effectiveness and/or efficiency of those programs
- Support gift processing/data entry during peak donation periods
- Assist in maintaining database by linking relationships, populating tabs with research and first-hand information, including tracking of relevant obituary information
- Assist with various in-house mailings (including mail merges and list pulling) as needed
- Assist with Development events logistics (e.g. auction item pick-up; event set-up, tear-down, transporting of materials, greeting, distribution of information packages, etc.) and coordinate some delegated aspects like the Fall Banquet silent auction and Coldest Night of the Year sponsorship efforts
Qualifications:
- Secondary School Diploma
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, databases/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Internet
- Knowledge of Salesforce Non-Profit-Success Pack (donor database) software an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Telecommunication experience an asset

- Valid driver’s licence and vehicle access
Position Details:
- Contract full-time (40 hours/week) position
- Shifts: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (choice to work full-time from the Administration Office, or work some days from home and some from Admin. Office)
- There is an expectation of working some evenings and weekends if required
