FPH Group was incorporated in 1997 as a Hydraulic Parts Distribution Company. Over the years, FPH Group evolved into a Manufacturer of Engineered Products, primarily supplying the Defense industry. With locations in U.S and Canada FPH Group delivers products to an international customer base with Lightweight, Compact and Power Dense systems for Defense Industry OEM customers.
Reporting to the Business Development and Engineering Manager the candidate will be part of the engineering team that brings first to market systems to the Defence industry. The position allows the candidate to be involved in all aspects of the project phase including concept, research, design development, prototyping, and validation testing on electro-mechanical assemblies and/or systems for the Defence Industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Working with Business Development, FPH Engineering team, and our supply partners, on existing and potential engineering concepts, projects, and products.
· Determine engineering feasibility and cost effectiveness for new projects.
· Ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
· Perform detailed calculations to establish specifications.
· Prepare technical drawings and specifications to standards and customer requirements.
· Modify designs and drawings to correct deficiencies or reduce production issues.
· Support field and customer testing of systems and equipment.
· Prepare final project reports including technical reports and SRED reports.

Required Skills:
· Engineering Degree
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related field
· Background in mobile equipment, defence is preferable but not essential
· Proficient in SolidWorks
· Knowledge of software control systems
· Ability to read prints, assembly drawings, and schematics
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
