Means TransForm Products is recruiting for a Tool Room Area Leader
Means TransForm Products, a business unit of Means Industries, is an industry leading manufacturer of metal-formed products and precision propulsion components utilizing advanced proprietary stamping, machining, laser-welding and assembly processes. This business is involved in significant advanced research and application of tooling and die equipment, process design and development. Means TransForm Products has two manufacturing facilities in Saginaw, Michigan; two manufacturing facilities in Sterling Heights, Michigan; a manufacturing facility in Shelby Township, Michigan and a manufacturing facility in London, Ontario, Canada.
The Tool Room Area Leader promotes lean manufacturing principles, assisting manufacturing to achieve production and quality goals. Plans, directs and coordinates all activities relating to press tools

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Tool and Die Maker Certificate of Qualifications, Bachelors Degree in Engineering or College Engineering Technologist Diploma
- Minimum 2 – 5 years experience managing projects in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Must possess knowledge of tool and die design, tryout and production, stamping presses and related machinery
- Proficient in use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office application
- Multitasking, fast paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to achieve results / targets through others who are not direct reports
- Ability to adapt and maintain performance in a changing work environment
- Effective interpersonal / communication skills required
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively manage conflict, foster good team and inter-departmental relations
