Lead Mechanical Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set goals, develop and maintain equipment build schedules for project launches.
  • Develop and maintain timelines/ daily workforce planning.
  • Coordinate and assist in build projects as designed.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements while applying knowledge of engineering principles for engineering design and project development.
  • Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
  • Research and analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
  • Specify system components or modifications of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
  • Providing advice and consultancy support, oversee and assist with installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree or College Diploma in specialized field of Millwright, Mechanical or other applicable area of Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar position and/or work with or launching programs in the automotive or related industry experience.
  • Understanding of all aspects related to manufacturing of Automotive stamping, welding, processing and automation.
  • Proven experience in requirement analysis, design skill, presenting technical information, equipment maintenance, conceptual skills, quality focus, general consulting skills, control engineering, product planning and job knowledge
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and in team setting and ask for expertise of others when needed
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain timing deadlines.
  • Ability to travel (Local and Internationally).
