Position:      Permanent Full Time Payroll and Benefits Administrator  
Location:       Administration Office, 550 Fanshawe Park Rd E, London
Schedule:      40 hours per week; salary position
Start Date:    April 11, 2022

We are currently seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll of 400+ employees and group savings and benefit plans. Our Human Resources team provides day to day support and resources to our London Bridge centres and office administration team. This position will appeal to someone interested in working in a small and dynamic team environment. The successful candidate will report to the Human Resources Manager.

You will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll, this includes verifying documents for new hires, rate and status changes, professional learning/training payments, process record of employments, budget, year-end reconciliations, garnishments, reporting, analysis and other data related to employee records
  • Administers benefit and savings plans, includes tracking eligibility, new enrolment and changes;
  • Ensure effective use of payroll and benefit processes, policies, and systems in order to ensure consistency
  • Complete payroll related reports and analysis
  • Provides support and guidance to employees and Centre Directors regarding payroll and benefits in a timely and effective manner
  • Maintain paper and electronic employee files
  • Assist with special projects or other duties as requested by Human Resources team or Management

About You:
  • Completion of post-secondary program related to Business, Accounting or other related field; Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) an asset;
  • 2+ years payroll experience with ADP Canada or other payroll systems
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently to meet strict deadlines with a service approach and problem solving disposition
  • Exercises tact and discretion with sensitive and confidential information. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
