JOB SUMMARY:
- Maintains and enhances the organization’s Human Resources by planning, implementing and evaluating associate relations and human resources polices, programs and practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions in conjunction with the department managers.
- Maintain organizations staff by establishing a full cycle recruitment program, as well as involvement in all recruitment processes.
- Prepare Associates for assignments by establishing & conducting orientation/training programs.
- Prepare, plan and maintains a compensation plan in conjunction with budget
- Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of associate work results
- Liaise with managers/supervisors in resolving associate concerns with respect to job security, fair treatment, safe and healthy workplace, and communication
- Maintain Associate pension & benefits programs
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legislated requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records;
- Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating and recommending human resources policies and procedures.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Responsible to manage WSIB Claims and the ESRTW program
- Maintains human resource staff and job results by counseling, coaching and disciplining, planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
- Assure budget targets in terms of respective C&B and headcount;
- Implement and ensure that all HRS practices are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, any other legal requirements
- Oversee the entire Health and Safety and Environmental programs within the company
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- CHRL Designation
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience in manufacturing a definite asset
- Good working knowledge of OSHA and MOL requirements
