Human Resources Coordinator
(3 month contract)

Vari-Form Inc. has three facilities in Strathroy, Ontario and an additional site in Mexico. Vari-Form Manufacturing Inc. is an affiliate of (FCA) Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V.
 
THE POSITION                     
  • Develop, recommend and implement policies and procedures in support of business strategies, and employment legislation.
  • Consult and assist managers regarding performance issues, and corrective actions.
  • Perform full cycle recruitment including partner with managers to create job descriptions, job posting, screen and interview, selection, reference checks, employment offers.
  • Coordinate the on-boarding and orientation for new hires through pre-hire communication, managing start dates and access to training, and the processing of new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate and administer employee training sessions.
  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
  • Maintain employee and human resources files, as well as making updates to the systems and processes as required.
  • Backup to the HR Coordinator, Payroll, Benefits Administrator and Reception.
  • Coordinate company social events.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures supporting the quality management system, environmental management system, and health and safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 
WHAT YOU OFFER
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, or working towards
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a human resource coordinator position, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
  • Payroll experience, as asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of all applicable legislation
  • Ability to work long days and off hours to accommodate business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Effective planning and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Proficient in ADP Workforce Now (asset)
  • Required to travel between local sites and requires own reliable transportation
  • Safety shoes that meet our standard are required.
