Job Description
Creative Designer: Talentcor is seeking an Creative Designer on a 3 months contract for a leading financial institution in Toronto/Waterloo, ON.
Accountabilities:
- Deep understanding of production methods and technical specifications necessary to produce templated and non-templated print, HTML and digital design tactics
- Support design requirements in print, digital communications and social media channels, including but not limited to; HTML emails, CSS emails, webinars, videos, mobile & tablet apps and social media tools
- Adopt and follow CE Creative Services best practices and processes
- Work closely with CE Creative Services Manager and/or team members to evolve creative concepts into production files
- Produce and deliver high-quality, error-free design and production files, print, HTML emails, digital and social media ads/banners, according to design specs and directions
- Communicate clearly with CE Creative Team on project details and scheduling
- Maintain standards of project filing and archiving protocols, following agreed-upon conventions at all times
- Ensure compliance with brand standards
- Assist Senior Graphic Designer, as needed, to create exciting and effective marketing materials for use across multiple channels, including print, HTML emails, and online digital pieces
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders across the company as well as select external vendors
Must Have Skills:
- Scrupulous attention to visual and print details
- Up-to-date computer software skills including graphic design/HTML software in a Mac environment
- Time management and organizational skills to maintain effective production workflow and meet deadlines
- Strong ability to work effectively, efficiently, independently and under pressure
- Detailed organization of projects is essential. This includes computer files, proofs and project information/communication pieces
- Strong grammar, spelling and peer review ability
- Experience developing digital applications: HTML emails, CSS, digital banners/ads
- Strong knowledge of graphic design software, printing technologies and current design trends
- Willingness to learn new master programs and technologies as they apply to the position
- Sound PowerPoint design skills
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design
- 1 to 2 years of Graphic Design experience in a creative agency or equivalent
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and other design software programs in a Mac environment
- Exceptional portfolio that demonstrates HTML email, print executions and online design
- Takes pride in their work and pays attention to every detail, making sure everything is just right.
- Has drive to take on new challenges and test new techniques in their work.
- Likes to partner with, and learn from a diverse group of peers from across the business

Duration: 3 months
Location: Toronto/Waterloo (Flexibility with work site) and opportunity to occasionally work from home
Pay: $50/hr.
