Payroll / Human Resources Administrator
Location: Exeter, Ontario
Position Type: Full-Time Permanent

Job Responsibilities

Human Resources Duties
 
  • Manages employee files by keeping them current, organized, in compliance with regulations, and maintaining proper confidentiality of the information
  • Assists with recruiting and new hire efforts by providing interview guides to managers, completing phone screens, filing paperwork, and ensuring new hires complete required paperwork
  • Assists managers in setting up training during new employee orientation
  • Assists with health and safety and WSIB processes by ensuring that Health and Safety paperwork from stores is returned.
  • Assists with Social Committee events
  • Other duties as assigned

Payroll Duties
 
  • Executes employee payrolls on scheduled dates
  • Monitors spreadsheets to avoid payroll errors and contacts the responsible parties requesting corrective action when necessary
  • Enters data from new hire paperwork into appropriate systems, spreadsheets or databases, including benefits and RRSP websites; as well as removing data from appropriate systems when employees exit.
  • Processes payouts related to bonus and commission or incentive programs
  • Completes RRSP uploads, benefit changes, and WSIB remittances into the appropriate websites
  • Audits RRSP and Benefits spreadsheets for accuracy
  • Processes year end payroll reports, T4’s, remittances, and updates payroll spreadsheets for the upcoming year.

Required Skills and Qualifications
 
  • Post-Secondary education, in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or Payroll discipline preferred
  • Working towards a CHRP or PCP designation
  • At least 1 year of HR/Payroll experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Analytical with a strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable with a quick learning capability
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook), with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Office based out of Exeter
