Full Stack Developer
Our bright, critical thinkers are looking for an Intermediate or Senior Full Stack Developer (object-oriented PHP + JavaScript) to join our internet-loving-community-building team. This position is for someone who excels at either front-end or back-end development, but is also quite good at the other. Extra points for those who have experience with automated testing, and test-driven development.


What kind of work do we do?

  • APIs for web and native mobile apps

  • Business process automation

  • Legacy systems integration

  • Database design & application architecture

  • E-commerce

  • Security and scalability audits

  • Custom Laravel and Angular

  • Custom Drupal modules

  • Custom Wordpress plugins

 


We count on Full Stack Developers for the following:

  • Work with object-oriented PHP, modern componentized JavaScript (vue.js, angular.js), HTML, & SASS.

  • Build software using the Laravel framework.

  • Write automated tests and use test-driven-development.

  • Develop and enhance custom web applications.

  • Translate design documentation into detailed technical requirements and design specifications.

  • Develop code to achieve desired results by: interpreting graphic, visual, and interaction designs; considering markup, style, accessibility, frameworks, performance and usability; ensuring cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility.

  • Follow the Agile methodology principles, SOLID principles  and PSR when coding

  • Use design patterns, traits, polymorphism, namespaces, etc.

  • Meet deadlines so we can deliver as agreed upon.

  • Provide project estimates/quotes

  • Document system and application designs

  • Recommend improvements to development processes and application architecture

As a member of the team at rTraction, you will be expected to communicate and collaborate with other members of design, development and quality assurance. We look for individuals who enjoy learning from the team, and sharing knowledge you've gained with them as well.  Daily stand-up meetings, weekly planning meetings, and monthly team lunches are good for team morale, so we expect everyone to attend.

We like to see:

  • 3-9 years experience in web development

  • Experience with the OS X terminal and/or Linux

  • Experience in enterprise application development

  • Understanding of financials / budgeting / business lifecycles
