Job Description
Drake International is looking for Service Operations/Technical Specialist to join our client's site in East London. We are looking for professional individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
This is a full time opportunity that will allow candidates to learn and grow their skillset on the job. Our client offers a great work environment and 40 hours per week.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm
Hourly rate: $20/hr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform receiving function for customer product delivered to the Service Center
- Package completed instruments and perform outbound shipping functions
- Provide assistance with bench and centralized field service inventory functions
- As technical training progresses use established ISO work instructions to provide repair, calibration, certification and preventative maintenance services for a select portion of Hach brands equipment.
- Determine the amount to bill customer within a framework of charges using computerized service systems.
- Provide input to new product design teams as assigned.
- Accurate inventory management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical interest and aptitude. Technical degree/diploma preferred
- Proven customer interaction skills
- Good computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
- Ability to work safely around electrical and mechanical hazards.
- Willingness to work with products returned from industrial and wastewater sites (protective inoculations available).
- Clean criminal record required
