SCHOOL SUPPORT COUNSELLOR

POSITION TITLE: School Support Counsellor (0.5 FTE)
SALARY RANGE: $52,159 - $65,024 per year (based on a 1.0 FTE)             
DATE OF VACANCY: 2023 February 1

POSITION SUMMARY: The School Support Counsellor will provide school-based prevention and intervention services in elementary or secondary schools to address social/emotional and behavioural barriers to learning. Incumbents will be assigned to a caseload at the elementary, secondary, or alternative school level.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Completion of a three (3) year Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Work or equivalent. A minimum of one (1) year experience providing counselling services to children or adolescents, and families.

The recruitment process requires a criminal background check for work with vulnerable persons.
