Job Description

Drake International is seeking CNC Operators to join our clients site located in Ingersoll. Our client is leading CNC machining facility in South Western Ontario. They have experienced tremendous growth and look forward to adding more members to their team
 
This is a full time opportunity that will allow candidates to learn and grow their skillset on the job. Our client offers a great work environment and 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience as;
  • CNC Operator 
  • Machinist
Responsibilities:
 
  • Load and unload parts in a safe and productive manner.
  • Operate CNC lathes, mills, other machining centres and hand tools with care and proficiency
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Set-up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision machining operation i.e. drilling, milling, etc.
  • Basic knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments (calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, and indicators).
  • Basic knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
  • Inspect equipment and the workplace regularly.
  • Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments (should include calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, and indicators).
  • Performs and records complete manual inspection of parts as required.
  • Makes adjustment of tooling offsets to ensure quality parts
 
Requirements:
 
  • English fluency (read, write and verbal).
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with the use of technology (iPads, workstations, etc.)
  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
  • Enrolment in relevant trade school program is preferred.
  • High level of manual dexterity, and hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Proficient at reading and comprehending text and numeracy;
  • Basic understanding of metrology (use of MMDs, GD&T, etc.)
 
Wage: 
$17.50 - $21/hr ($2.10/hr shift premium)
 
Shift:
Days – Mon-Thurs 7:00am-4:30pm, Fri 7:00am-3:30pm
Night – Mon-Thurs 8:30pm-6:00am
ROTATION EVERY 4 WEEKS.
