We are growing and as a result we are currently seeking a Part-Time (approx. 24 hours per week) Human Resources Recruiter to join our team!
This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to work shorter days to accommodate their before and after school childcare needs!

About the Opportunity
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure employment needs are addressed in a timely fashion
- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; maintaining rapport
- Review and clarify job specifications, competencies and skills required, create and maintain position descriptions as necessary
- Source high quality candidates using both traditional and innovative strategies and tools including social media, website postings, networking, advertising, employee referrals, career fairs and database mining
- Manage all communication with candidates
- Review resumes and qualifications to determine suitability of candidates
- Perform in-person and phone interviews with candidates
- Communicating employer information and benefits during screening process
- Facilitate pre-employment testing
- Schedule and coordinate interviews cooperatively with hiring managers
- Making recommendations to company hiring managers
- Brief and debrief candidates before and after interviews
- Verify references and conduct background checks
- Preparation of employee agreements
- Ensure regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment process is compliant with federal and provincial legislation
- Completing timely reports on employment activity
- Conducting new employee interviews to assess successful onboarding and exit interviews on terminating employees
- Participate in the onboarding of new employees
- Serve as an employee advocate for new hires as well as established employees
- Development and maintenance of compensation review process and wage increase procedures
- Assist with the day-to-day efficient operation and projects within the HR/Payroll Department
- Minimum of a College Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources
- CHRP or working towards an asset
- Proven work experience as a full-cycle Recruiter with Management level recruiting experience
- Working knowledge of behavioural based interviewing
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working on own initiative with limited supervision
- Exceptional time management skills
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical, problem solving skills, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Canada Labour Code an asset
- Valid Class G Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
