Job Description
Drake International is now interviewing Real Estate Law Clerks to join a growing firm located in the core of the city. Our client offers a competitive salary, benefits, RRSP and great work environment.
The ideal candidate will have a 2-3 years experience as a real estate law clerk (Commercial OR Residential as there are various openings)
Scope of role:
- Communicate with clients to ensure a smooth transaction
- Conducting conflict searches
- Maintaining an up to date & efficient BF system
- Ordering title searches, corporate searches and municipal reports
- Ordering payout statements on sale & mortgage files
- Main liaison between financial institutions, land registry offices, municipalities & title insurance companies
- Preparing real estate transactions for closing
- Finalizing reports – to clients and financial institutions
- Handling purchases and sales of various types of properties
- Preparing emails, correspondence, authorizations and directions and various other documentation
- Candidate with experience in both Residential & Commercial is considered an asset
Qualifications and Skills
- The ideal candidate for this position will possess 3+ years of experience and will demonstrate excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work independently, as well as in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Conveyancer/Unity, Teraview is required in this role.
