Job Description

Are you looking for a temporary Cashier position in London? 
Do you have Cash Handling & Customer Service Experience? 
We’re hiring Cashiers for a Post Secondary School’s Bookstore in London. 
 
This is a short-term contract position starting August 25th, lasting 3-5 weeks.
 
We are looking for talented individuals to provide superior customer service to students during the summer semester rush. 
Our client is one of Canada’s top Universities and is looking to add team members who will strive to deliver outstanding service.
 
What we offer:
  • $16.25 per hour 
  • Monday – Friday 7:30am – 7:30pm (shift times will vary per week)
  • Friendly work environment
  • Weekly pay cheque 
 
What you do:
  • Provide excellent customer service 
  • Scan products and process customer transactions accurately 
  • Handle cash, debit and credit card transactions 
  • Keep the register area neat and stocked with essential supplies 
  • Assist customers with general inquiries
  • Stock inventory on shelves 
  • Maintain a positive environment in the store
  • Opening and closing store duties
 
 
Who you are:
  • Minimum one year experience in a cashier / cash handling role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being on feet for the duration of the entire shift (up to 8 hours)
  • Able to lift upwards of 25lbs
  • A team player with good communication skills 
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced work environment 
  • Resourceful and courteous when resolving inquiries 
  • Must have a clean criminal record
  • Must be fully vaccinated as per University Policy
