Job Description
Drake International is proudly partnered with a reputable company in south London who is looking to add a temporary member to their Fabrication team. We are currently interviewing for a Fabrication Associate/Forklift Operator to join their team for an immediate start. This position is a 4-6 month coverage.
This is a full time opportunity that will allow candidates to learn and grow their skillset on the job. Our client offers a great work environment and 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience as;
- Assembly
- Machine Operating
- Fabrication
$18/hr to start
Duties:
- Load and unload parts in a safe and productive manner.
- Operate CNC lathes, mills, other machining centres and hand tools with care and proficiency
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Set-up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision machining operation i.e. drilling, milling, etc.
- Operate forklift
Requirements:
- Mechanically inclined, experience with hand tools
- Forklift experience preferred, but willing to train
- Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints (metric & imperial)
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure product quality meets customer needs
- Previous forklift experience an asset
- Must have a reliable vehicle (this position is not located on a bus route)
- Clean criminal record
Shifts: Mon-Thurs 3:30pm-2:00am (afternoons)
