Job Description
Sr. Designer/Engineer
Salford Group is currently seeking a Senior Designer/Engineer to join the product development team at the Salford, Ontario Head Office. The Senior Designer/Engineer will be directly involved in product development and its various aspects throughout the product life cycle process. The Mechanical Designer/Engineer will work collaboratively with the Design team, Sales, Service, Manufacturing group, and End users to accomplish designs from initial concepts to final product. Daily activities include participation in design review meetings, mechanical design, hydraulic & electronic controls design, FEA analysis, hands on product testing. This position will also be responsible for creating and maintaining product documentation.

Qualifications:
- 5-7 years mechanical design experience in mobile/off road equipment
- Mechanical aptitude in both hands on and design capabilities
- Proven troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical Engineering Diploma or Degree or equivalent
- Comfortable working as a team member or taking the lead on a project
- Strong organizational skills, manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills, written and oral, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of standard office software packages such as Office, Word, Excel, Proficiency in Solidworks and COSMOS FEA an asset.
- Agricultural background an asset
