Working at Fanshawe College
As an employee of Fanshawe College in the Office of the President, you would be required to work on-campus, with some opportunity for flexible work.
Note: This is a full-time Administrative position (37.5 hours per week).
Duties: Reporting to the Executive Assistant, the Office Assistant is responsible for a variety of administrative duties in the Office of the President. Utilizing a high degree of discretion and judgement, the incumbent ensures the effective day-to-day operation of the Office and actively participates in the support and achievement of priorities and plans established by the Office of the President.
Duties Include: Reception; preparation of agendas and memoranda; minute taking; obtaining and distributing information; coordinating and preparing correspondence; conducting research; meeting preparation and logistics: making travel arrangements and liaising and assisting students, staff, and external visitors on a variety of queries and matters. Maintains budgets, and assists with organizing College events and programs that involve the Office of the President.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary 2-year diploma in Administration, Executive Assistant, Business, Communications, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ progressive Administrative experience
- Excellent people skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Refined written and verbal skills
- Analytical with strong problem-solving ability
- Detail oriented; highly organized and able to prioritize
- Both an individual and team player
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated, reliable, professional, tactful and discreet with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
