Job Description

Hayhoe Homes currently has an opening for a fulltime Accounting Clerk. The function of the Hayhoe Homes Accounting Clerk will be to assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the Accounts Payable aspect of the company, while providing support to the Accountant and the Controller. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for the accurate, timely posting and payment of all invoices and to provide other general bookkeeping and clerical support as needed.

Duties:
  • Responsible for the processing of all invoices.
  • Assist in the payment processing of all invoices by managing the accounts payable to take full advantage of all vendor payment terms and discounts.
  • Assist with accounts payable journal entries in the company’s computerized accounting system.
  • Respond to all accounts payable inquires and review Trade Partner monthly statements of account.
  • Willingness and ability to assume other accounting functions in the future.

Qualifications:
  • A College Diploma in Business Accounting.
  • Accounts Payable, General Bookkeeping and General Office Administration knowledge.
  • Knowledge of in-depth business PC, MS Office applications, and familiarity with a variety of office equipment. Experience with SAGE 50 would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented outlook.
