Iciniti Corporation is recruiting an e-commerce development project manager for its London, Ontario office. Reporting to the Manager of Professional Services, you will work with Iciniti’s product suite and international development team in the successful management of e-commerce web development solutions for a wide variety of clients.
Key responsibilities:
· Development of project proposals and project plans.
· Managing the time and effort of the project team.
· Ensuring proper change, scope, risk, and expectation management
· Reporting accurate project financial and profitability figures.
· Holding regular status meeting with clients and providing regular status reporting.
· Development of business requirements documentation.
· Development of Functional Specifications, Use Cases, and Solution SOW’s
· Ensure that projects are executed in accordance with company guidelines.
May be required to:
· Mentor less senior team members.
· Assist others by providing some delivery management reviews to other projects. - Participate in other business analysis and/or management consulting engagements as necessary.
· Troubleshoot and assist with support and development tasks
· Participate in QA related tasks for project deliverables
Our ideal candidate will have:
· Successfully graduated from a recognized post secondary institution with at least a 2 year diploma in a computer science, business, or project management related discipline.
· A minimum of 10 years related IT/Software Development & Project Management experience.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.
· Ability to work in a small team environment
· Ability to perform successfully under limited supervision.
· Strong problem solving and decision-making.
MANDATORY:
· Managed medium to large scale application/web development projects in a complex environment; minimum 5 years
· Understanding of Project Management Methodologies as they relate to web development projects
· IT/Software (Web) Development industry experience
· Experience with Web Based Development (specifically with: .Net, C#, asp, html, xml, Visual Studio)
· Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, PPT, Excel, Visio, etc
· Experience with Microsoft Project
DESIRABLE:
· Proficiency with presentation layer (UI/Interface/flow)
· Experience with Sage software including Accpac, CRM
· Project Server, Sharepoint
· Microsoft/Sage certifications
· Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse solutions
In this role you will be expected to:
• Manage all aspects of an Iciniti project, from conception to implementation, ensuring that the business needs and goals of the client and Sponsors are met, and the negotiated commitments on cost, quality, scope and time-to-market are achieved.
• Adhere to all aspects of Iciniti’s Project Life Cycle, ensuring completion of required project documentation from initial Project Statements to Post Implementation Evaluations. Present documents (as appropriate) to clients, sponsors, project teams and Iciniti Management to gain consensus and approval.
• Obtain required project details from Business Sponsors and clearly define the project strategy, approach, requirements criteria, project success criteria, deliverables, required activities and time-lines through use of standard Project Management tools.
• Negotiate with Iciniti Management to obtain commitment and assignment of required resources for the duration of the project.
• Regularly communicate objectives, provide updates, document & address project issues, and gain commitment to specific courses of action.
• Monitor and maintain a project budget (cost & time) tracking document.
• Create, monitor, continually update and control the execution of the project plan for all phases of the life cycle, from planning to implementation. Take corrective action as necessary to ensure goals are met, issues are addressed, and new priorities are accommodated.
• Manage project scope and implement change control procedures to ensure that any increase in deliverables or functionality are necessary to achieve project goals, and that impacts to the project are understood and agreed to.
• Assess and document project risk(s), document action plans to address, and ensure communication to the appropriate stakeholders, clients, sponsors, and Iciniti Management occurs.
