KML Windows currently has an opening for an Inventory Control Specialist in their Strathroy facility on the day shift.  This position will work 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday), 10 hour shifts.  The position will primarily be in the production environment, managing inventory levels:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Conduct cyclical inventory counts and updates inventory records as required

• Daily/weekly stock counts and creation of replenishment Purchase Orders
• Coordinate with the appropriate Managers and Material Handlers to ensure the accurate tracking of inventory levels and movement within the Strathroy facility as well as intercompany transfers
• Analyze and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies
• Validating receipts and preparation of receiving packages for Accounting
• Track critical material and expedite delivery to meet production requirements
• Manage vendor and product information in ordex
• Assists with special projects as required

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

·         Good knowledge of Excel and principles of inventory control

·         Good knowledge of KML Parts and Profiles

·         Comfortable working in the shop floor environment

·         Strong interpersonal communication skills (written, verbal & listening); takes direction well

·         Possesses strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills

·         Positive attitude, team player – must work in conjunction with other departments

·         Demonstrates a sense of urgency to complete work on schedule & able to work under pressure

·         Proven ability to work independently with above-average Attendance record
