We are currently seeking a Database (DB) Developer.
Responsibilities: - Write
stored procedures, triggers, SQL code and troubleshooting (for application
support and for reporting and analytics purposes)
- Work on data Acquisition, data import , data export and data management
activities (involving ETL tools, BI Tools)
- Perform Database Development tasks
- Participating in data modeling and Software Design
- Expert planning and documentation skills are a prerequisite
- Collaborate with account managers to define High Level and Detailed
Requirements
- Responsible for estimation of work effort for projects
- Assist Team Leads by working on proof of concept and prototyping activities to
assess whether the proposed architecture and components meet the non-functional
requirements; reliability, performance, and maintainability
- Quality Control/Testing experience is a plus
Qualifications:
- Post
secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum
3 – 5 yrs experience with a successful track record in writing stored procedures,
triggers, SQL code, troubleshooting and Database Management practices
- 3
years experience working with MySQL or MSSQL databases
- Strong
communication skills (written, oral and presentation)
- General
knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and
business office operations
- Understanding
of computer systems and integration capabilities.
- Ability
to set and manage priorities judiciously.
- Ability
to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Exceptionally
self-motivated, directed, and detail-oriented.
- Superior
analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- On-call
availability and periodic overtime.
- Solid understanding of assessing and
designing internal controls in an enterprise-level
- Ability to manage and collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams.
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and
timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
