About OSG

 

Established in 1997, OSG is a group of health and safety professionals who provide interactive services to business and labour helping to ensure their compliance with all municipal, provincial and federal regulations and industry standards.

 

We provide training, consultation and testing. We also conduct on-site assessments, review current policies and procedures or we can create and assist in implementing future policies and procedures as required by regulatory bodies.

 

Our training courses are provided on a regular basis at convenient locations across Ontario.  We are also available for on-site training to cover all shifts, 7 days a week.  Our approach is always innovative and our training thorough, custom tailored to fit your needs.

 

Role Overview

 

The ideal candidate will work well with limited supervision, be based in Cambridge, Woodstock or London and be able to travel within Ontario.  We pride ourselves in having a happy, energetic and productive work atmosphere, and in providing training that is memorable.  Therefore, an enthusiastic “people person” is essential to this position.

 

Our candidate will have a minimum of 3 years working experience in Health & Safety.

 

An Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

 

·   CRSP Designation (Considered to be a strong asset)

·   College or University diploma or degree in OH&S, or H&S certification from a recognized body

·   A working knowledge of Municipal, Provincial and Federal Legislation

·   Thorough knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Regulations & WSIB Regulations

·   Certificate in Adult Education from a recognized body

·   Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills

·   Advanced presentation and  written skills

·   Well organized

·   Facilitate the following programs, but not limited to:

 

*  Joint Health & Safety Committee                         *  Fall Arrest

   Certification:  Part I & II                                            *  Due Diligence

*  Safe Operation of a Lift Truck                                *  WHMIS

*  Confined Space                                                       *  Lockout

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

·   Provide leadership for the development and implementation of H&S polices and procedures

·   Provide H&S management consultation and direction to managers, supervisors and employees

·   Conducting Health and Safety training

·   Create effective Accident Prevention training programs

·   Consulting with clients regarding H&S matters

·   Conducting client H&S assessments and audits

·   Conducting hygiene testing and preparing follow up reports

·   Consulting with our sales & marketing department on client requirements
