A Metal Fabrication company in the London / St. Thomas area is looking for an Engineering Technician that enjoys the technical aspects of a job, but also has strength in gaining co-operation while co-ordinating activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare engineering drawings using AutoCAD
- Perform Quality Assurance inspections of completed parts/products
- Co-ordinate ISO activity: Preventative Maintenance Program, Non-conformance records, Corrective action reports
- Assist with co-ordination of production using an in-house system to plan, schedule and monitor jobs
- Assist with Inventory Control and purchasing of material and shop supplies
Requirements:
- 2 or 3 year Engineering College Diploma
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solve with minimal assistance
- Above average computer skills (MS Office)
- Strong team player who is able to lead as required
- Superior communication skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations a necessity
- Ability to work effectively in a busy office, with tight deadlines and a number of tasks simultaneously
