Chemical Shipper/Packager
PCCA Canada provides pharmacists with a complete support system for compounding unique dosage forms. Owned and operated principally by pharmacists, PCCA provides all of the bulk pharmaceuticals, equipment, devices, flavors, accredited training classes and seminars, marketing support and technical consulting assistance needed to help pharmacists build successful compounding practices.
As we continue to expand the depth and breadth of our services, we are looking for a Chemical Shipper/Packager to join our team in our London, Ontario location.

PURPOSE
· Transform raw materials into high quality finished good
· Prepare items for shipment
· Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments
SHIPPING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive product and process returns
- Maintain contact with couriers to arrange shipment pick-ups
- Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons with stenciling equipment
- Assemble cardboard containers or select preassembled containers
- Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding
- Picking orders
- Stocking shelves
- Returning excess stock to shelves
- Maintain inventory from pre-pack
- Prepare shipping documentation for foreign orders
PACKAGING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as directed by Health Canada
· Comply with Standard Operating Procedures for Controlled Substances as directed by the Office of Controlled Substances
· Compare work orders with bulk labels to verify chemical identity
· Disinfect equipment, utensils and areas before and after chemical transfer
· Choose correct containers and measure correct weight of material
· Transfer bulk chemicals individually to various sizes of smaller containers
· Seal and label containers in packaging rooms
· Maintain hard copies and computer records of work
· Review device work orders
- Sanitize utensils and work area before and after material transfer
· Transfer bulk orders of equipment into various sizes
· Seal and label finished goods
· Maintain hard copy and computer records of work
· Packaging light sensitive product
· Packaging under nitrogen
· Reviewing Inventory
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
? Fluency in English (written and spoken) required
? WHMIS training an asset
? Dangerous Goods certification an asset
? Multitasking capability
? Computer skills: MS Office, Microsoft Outlook, Web applications, Inventory software experience an asset
? Works quickly and efficiently under pressure to meet strict time constraints
? Pays close attention to detail
? Strong mathematical ability
? Team Player that always goes the extra mile
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
? Must stand for 5-8 hours/day
? Lifting up to 20kg
? Must work following strict gowning guidelines of protective equipment including: face masks, hair nets, scrubs, foot covers, and gloves
? Work with variety of chemicals in different physical states
? Work with hazardous chemicals
