Shipping Team Leader

Teppen is recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 automotive parts manufacturer in Strathroy, ON.

Our customer is looking to fill a current vacancy for the position of Shipping Team Leader. The successful candidate will be working with the Materials Department to track requirements, assist production in effectively scheduling their manufacturing requirements, and they will notify and immediately react to all volume corrections initiated by their customers.

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:

• Minimum Grade 12 Diploma, but Post-Secondary Education is a strong asset.
• Minimum of 5years experience in Shipping/Receiving in a automotive parts manufacturer
• Excellent computer skills, and demonstrate the ability learn new systems quickly.
• Preferred candidates will have experience with Ford shipping/receiving system. Experience with Chrysler or GM is also an asset.

Hourly Wage:

• $17.82 to start, with increase to $19.00 at the successful conclusion of 3 months
• Wage increases provided every 6 months following until the completion of 2years where the rate will be $25.71
• Benefits also available after 3 months

Other Expectations:

• The Shipping Team Leader is expected to carry their BlackBerry with them at all times in case of Emergency
• This person is all required to work on a shift rotation between Days and Afternoon
• We are looking to fill this vacancy immediately
