Summary
London Public Library welcomes applications from qualified candidates to fill the role of Summer Literacy Facilitators in support of our literacy initiatives relating to children in our Library branches located throughout the London community. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON APPROVAL OF FUNDING
Accountabilities
Planning and providing one-on-one reading support to children currently in grades 1-7 who are having difficulties reading, as well as participating in the preparation of literacy celebration events. Selected candidates will be required to maintain records and statistics, monitor supplies, organize registrations and schedule meetings. Three library locations will provide reading support in French; written and oral fluency in French and English will be required for the successful applicant at this location.
Qualifications
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Be legally entitled to work according to relevant Ontario legislation and regulations

- Be effective communicator with good written and verbal skills
Salary
$18.50 per hour
