Licenced Industrial Electrician

Located in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Otter Valley Foods Inc. is a major producer of high quality frozen food products for prominent clients throughout North America.  

In order to continue our service to our customers, we have an immediate opening for a results oriented individual for the position of Industrial Electrician.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate must have a solid electrical and mechanical aptitude with manufacturing experience.  This individual will be working with a team of millwrights, electricians and mechanics to ensure production up time is kept to a maximum.  Duties will include diagnosing and troubleshooting faults, assisting in the installation and testing of new equipment, programming equipment through the use of laptops, mechanical repairs, building maintenance and setting up equipment required in the production schedule.

The ideal candidate must possess a Certificate of Qualification as an industrial electrician and have 2 to 5 years of post certification experience.  Other skills required include experience with PLCs, computer based programming, pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics. Strong leadership skills are a definite asset as a leadhand opportunity is possible in the near future.

The successful individual will be one who can effectively deal with other departmental personnel to coordinate efforts.  Although experience in a food processing environment is not essential it would be an asset.   As an Industrial Electrician, this position will be primary on the afternoon shift, however, shifts may vary from time to time to accommodate production requirements.
