Reliance Electric Company Canada, a leading manufacturer of extra large AC electric motors, is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Draftsperson to be located in our Stratford Ontario facility.

Duties include the design and preparation of drawings for the manufacture of electric motors using information received from electrical and mechanical engineers, sales orders and customer specification.  Select motor excessories to meet the requirements of the sales order and customer specifications.  Work with vendors to clarrify operation and installation procedures for their equipment and availability.  Analyze problems occurring in manufacturing and production process and devise and implement solutions.  Compile internal engineering and manufacturing process standards.  Participate in design reviews.  Provide instruction to or assist junior designers and temporary employees, including checking of their work. 

Ideally this position is suited to an Engineering Technologist, however an experienced Engineering Technician may be considered.  Experience with Auto-Cad, Solid Works, and Pro-E will complement your analytical and problem solving skills.  The ability to read blueprints, drawings and schematics along with strong computer literacy are also required.
