Our client, a global leader in the provision of light armoured military vehicles with an innovative approach to design and assembly, is looking for Technologist, Design Services on 12 month contact basis.

Technologist, Design Services

Responsibilities:

• Create solid models, layouts and associative assembly and detail drawings from sketches, notes or direction from senior designers or Project Engineers.
• Perform design calculations and trade-off studies as required. 
• Must be capable of designing sophisticated mobile defence systems with minimal supervision utilizing Unigraphics NX based CAD system. 
• Will be responsible for completing production drawing packages to stringent industry, company and military standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years experience with Unigraphics NX2 or higher in modelling, drafting and advanced assemblies.
• Post-secondary diploma in mechanical technology.
• Proficiency with common desktop office applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint in a Windows XP networked environment. . 
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Knowledge of Teamcenter Product Data Management application.
• OACETT certified Mechanical Technologist or Technician (CET) with specialty in mobile equipment.

NOTE: you must be able to work days or afternoons and meet ASR size requirements. This position requires the ability to pass Security Clearance and ITAR Controlled Goods.
