Allen Professional Search, seeks a Data Analyst in a contract position (3-6 months) for our client in London, Ontario.
JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the corporate services team, the Data Analyst develops standardized processes and methodologies for data collection, reporting and analysis by ensuring the provision of quality data, adherence to data standards and alignment with organizational reporting requirements. Analysis is essential to managerial decision making to meet strategic and operational objectives. Areas of responsibility include methodologies, data collection, reporting, and data stewardship.
Organizational Excellence
· Develops standardized analytical methodologies and report specifications
· Provides decision support and analytical stewardship in terms of architecture, design and tool direction, analytical metrics, data/statistical modeling
· Assists in the collection and analysis of information and data related to performance indicators and benchmarks for all areas of the organization
· Develops and monitors data standards and source reporting requirements, contributing to metadata development and coordinating data quality initiatives
Customer Support
· Provides consultative and analytical support regarding collection, interpretation, analysis and presentation of data
· Analyzes organizational data to extract information, develop and present reports that can be used by management and staff for planning, decision-support, and quality improvement initiatives
· Defines and clarifies service request requirements
· Performs service request changes acceptance testing
User Training & Support/Testing
· Trains Regional Manager and users in use of information products
· Provides training on use of information for decision making
Data Privacy
· Acts as Privacy Coordinator, auditing reports to ensure the privacy of personal health information
· Investigates privacy breaches
Education & Qualifications:
Data Analysis
· Post secondary education in a related discipline (Business, Health Records, Information Management) and/or equivalent experience
· Excellent interpersonal, team building, communication and presentation skills
· Demonstrated ability to work with dynamic priorities
· Demonstrated effective working relationships with internal and external users/customers and stakeholders
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the healthcare system
· Familiarity with health care data (e.g., health records data, MIS guidelines, Workload, and RAI/MDS)
· Knowledge of PMI/CMIS and CHRIS
Analytics
· Strong ability to manipulate and analyze data using various software tools (e.g. MS Excel and Access and SAS); data mining and statistical analysis.
· Experience with statistical software to support ad hoc analyses and reporting
· Knowledge of basic analytical techniques
· Ability to interpret data and formulate decision alternatives substantiated by data findings
· Working experience with Records Management and/or auditing/validating records
