Restorative Care Aide

(Approximately 38 hours bi-weekly)

Share your passion for maximizing resident quality of life in this exciting and challenging role.  Reporting to the Director of Care, you will carry out a broad range of interventions which maximize resident potential for independence, improved mobility, transferability and pain relief.  You will implement and maintain individual and group programs including ambulation, restorative exercise, pain relief and increased activation. You will provide assistance to selected residents in achieving increased independence in programs of daily living. You will be part of the multidisciplinary team and attend conferences. You will be responsible for assessments and ongoing documentation including RAI-MDS.

With a diploma or certification in Physiotherapist Aide, Restorative or Geriatric Physical programs, the candidate will demonstrate knowledge and applications of restorative care. Experience working with the geriatric population including dementias and physical disabilities, as well as knowledge of the disease and aging process are essential.
