A dynamic, leading company in the supply of continuous emission monitoring systems and products for process analytics is growing aggressively and is offering an exciting opportunity for a Technical Specialist. Our customers cover the power generation sector and industrial groups including pulp and paper, mining and minerals, petrochemical, refining and incineration among others. The product lines include a variety of gas analysers, sampling system components and process analyzers such as gas chromatographs and FTIR analyzers. The company specializes in systems integration.

Responsibilities

  • Be a member of the Service Team reporting to the Technical Services Manager and help to drive a culture of customer focus, professionalism, teamwork and creativity. The Technical Specialist brings a strong technical background to the Company.
  • Install, commission and repair various optical gas analyzers and related devices. This includes the wiring of electrical connections, digital and analog signals, and the termination of various pneumatic connections and compression fittings.
  • Complete detailed government reports, quality sheets and service reports.
  • Respond to emergency calls on a rotating basis.
  • Provide technical support via phone and on-site to Customers, the Sales Team, and the Project Managers.
  • Be available to travel extensively in Canada and the U.S. (50-75% of time).
  • Build relationships with current and potential clients.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Technology in a related field required (environmental, electronics, chemical).
  • Minimum of two (2) years gas analyzer experience.
  • Well versed in instrumental, pneumatic and electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital communications, PLC programming, and Microsoft computer programs.

  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as, interpersonal skills.
