Qualifications:
- A University degree, with a preferred major in Administrative and Commercial Studies (or BMOS) - CHRP designation or working toward this designation is preferred -At least 2 years experience in a Human Resources Assistant (or equivalent) role, with exposure to human resource business processes - Knowledge of various employment related legislation such as Employment Standards, OHSA, Human Rights Code and Labour Relations Act -Superior client relationship and service skills (both verbal and written) and strong active listening skills. -Demonstrated ability to multi-task, probe, analyze and problem solve complex issues and make recommendations for solutions - Demonstrated ability to work independently, but must have sound judgement in deciding when to refer issues or consult others for advice -Demonstrated prioritization, organization, time management, project planning and follow-up skills -Adherence to the principles of confidentiality -Extensive experience with all aspects of MS Office, web based systems, and databases; experience with Peoplesoft is preferred |
