We currently are looking for a quick-thinking and analytical  Process Engineer who will work  closely with staff specialists/customers/suppliers to lead and access requirements for new and existing manufacturing processes within the plant.  The successful candidate will establish process requirements regarding man, machine, material and method in the quoting stage and on existing equipment.  They will also utilize the standard processing tools to evaluate new and existing processes to design the best equipment to meet our business needs.  The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of the project, from its inception through PPAP, production and beyond.

               

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

1.             BSc. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

2.             Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.

3.             Experience in Assembly equipment and Press equipment for medium to large stampings.

4.             Experience in processing equipment from inception to launch.

5.             Experience with various welding processes (e.g. Mig, Spot, Projection, etc.) is preferred.

6.             Knowledge and experience in TPS systems is preferred.

7.             Ability to use Microsoft Office and Computer Aided Design software.

8.             Must be knowledgeable in APQP, GD&T, PPAP, & PFMEA documentation.

9.             Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

 

DUTIES will include:

 

1.             Prepare capital quotation packages for approval as required.

2.             Must be capable of processing customer product from Stamping through to the Assembly process.

3.             Leads and participates in Continuous Improvement events.

4.             Developing, planning, managing, and implementing various projects for safety, quality, and productivity improvements for the Assembly and Stamping  areas.

5.             Provides new product launch/changeover support.

6.             Must be capable of managing and leading projects from inception to completion – timing, concept, feasibility, design, construction, try-out, launch, buy-off, budget, prototype programs and engineering changes.

7.             Prepares reports, charts, and other documentation required for engineering records and projects.

8.             Works closely with other departments and customers to design solutions to improve production processes, improve quality, reduce downtime, increase O.A., improve ergonomic design, and economic viability of our operation.

9.             Participate as required in all TS16949 activities such as PFMEA and APQP and CPMP.

10.           Participate in design reviews, equipment buy-offs, process reviews, in the launch of new equipment.

11.           Assist in training plant personnel when requested.

12.           Follows and adheres to requirements of current customer quality and environmental management systems standards.

13.           Performs other related duties as required.
