Description

Allen Professional Search, London Office is currently recruiting for our client in the Heavy Machinery Manufacturing Industry who is seeking an Engineering Manager for Product Development. The position pays between $75-90K and is located in the St Thomas area. This is a permanent opportunity.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Lead the engineering and product development group to engineer high quality products and services, while maintaining contract schedules and cost budgets
  • provide day to day leadership to the engineering and technical team
  • represent the company to customers by providing support to marketing; represent the company to the suppliers
  • participate in the process of creating new products and markets
  • manage engineering schedules to ensure products are engineered on time, within budget and to ISO quality standards
  • foster a climate for improved processes and quality

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree/diploma in Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience
  • Five years experience in a Management role in Engineering of a small to midsized organization, or Engineering Supervisor of a larger sized organization
  • Experience with the engineering and manufacturing of heavy equipment preferably related to the defense, mining or rail sectors
  • Capability of reading drawings
  • Computer skills (MS Office); knowledge of engineering software
  • Knowledge of production machinery and equipment

SALARY:
Between $75-90K
