We are currently looking for an energetic, Operations Supervisor with direct inside sales leadership experience to join our Operations team. In this challenging role the Operations Supervisor will understand key principles of sales, activity management, coaching, negotiation and will continually drive performance.
Job Description: Operations (Inside Sales) Supervisor
Department: Operations
Position Summary:
In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of inside collection officers to contact prospective clients and sell repayment solutions on their existing debt. This is a metric driven, results focused sales environment. You will, through effective leadership, tactical coaching and management, lead your team to achieve success. The Operations Supervisor will be a coach, mentor and driver as they continually support, develop and mentor their team. Additionally, the Operations Supervisor will provide on-going support to the Manager of Collection Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coaches Collection Officers (CO's) in meeting and exceeding their revenue targets and performance metrics by one on one coaching on the job daily
- Identifies and acts upon CO’s development opportunities with Manager, Collection Operations and recommends Action Plans
- Holds Collection Officers accountable for productivity, results and key metrics
- Escalates employee issues as required to Management
- Manages Adherence and Reliability within guidelines
- Stays current with all regulatory agency updates
- Stays up to date with all internal collection and sales processes including collection floor training manual and applicable offerings
- Prepares and delivers semi-annual and annual Performance Reviews
- Conducts one on one tactical sales, negotiation and conversation skill coaching
- Conducts and delivers quality and compliance audits
- Creates a positive work environment focused on improving productivity through employee engagement and motivation
- Provides positive and constructive feedback related to performance results
- Conducts Meetings with CO’s to communicate expectations and cascade company information
- Supports recruitment efforts as required
- Manages by "Walking Around” and being available to support and coach CO’s
- Maintains accurate and complete records in employee files
- Support the corrective action process for performance, conduct and reliability
- Additional Duties and projects as assigned by Manager
Education/Experience Required:
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma
- Post Secondary Education in a related subject preferred
- Strong sales and negotiation skills including developing and training a group of inside sales professionals
- Collection experience preferred
- Supervisory / Leadership experience required
Additional Skills Required (non personal):
- Intermediate with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Open Office)
- Intermediate computer skills
- Familiarity with dialer systems an asset
- A multi-tasking results oriented individual who leads by example
