Early Childhood Educator - Early Learning Program
Blessed Kateri, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Robert - London,
Monsignor Morrison - St. Thomas, St. Patrick’s - Woodstock
Reporting to the Principal, you will partner with the classroom teacher to plan and implement a full-day early learning program and provide supervision and age appropriate programming as part of the extended day program. You will collaborate in the design of programs and environments which will enhance children’s cognitive, physical, social, faith, and emotional development and communication, language and literacy.
A pool of qualified candidates is being established. Successful candidates must be prepared to accept an assignment at one of the schools above.
You have a two year community college diploma in Early Childhood Education with a minimum one year experience, preferably in an educational setting. You are currently certified with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators and have an understanding and appreciation of Catholic Education and the mission of the London District School Board. Able to communicate effectively with primary aged children, parents, and staff, you have proven experience successfully planning and implementing age-appropriate programs, knowledge of the Ministry of Education full-day learning program and related legislation, and a thorough knowledge of the Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) document. Your strong organization and time management skills are complemented by a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. You have current First Aid and CPR certification and are physically able to assist children. Basic computer skills are required.
