ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE COORDINATOR
THIS IS A FULL-TIME TEMPORARY BARGAINING UNIT POSITION
POSITION SUMMARY:
A challenging temporary opportunity (approximately 12 months) is available in the Finance & Administration Department for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator who would coordinate all accounts receivable data; provide accurate financial reporting to the Corporation’s Board of Directors; assist other staff in the Finance Department as requested or required; receive payments on a daily basis; prepare deposits and associated reconciliations for security company pick-up. The successful candidate will also reconcile aged receivable accounts reports to the General Ledger; record payments by data entry into Yardi financial system; record NSF cheques and advise tenants. Prepare tenant refunds; maintain entry of pre-authorized payment program data and forward to bank via an electronic banking system; maintain a record of former tenants with arrears, update as necessary and inform the Corporation’s collection agency of any additions, deletions or changes; administer former tenant repayment agreements as necessary and perform other related duties as necessary or as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Mathematical skills; accounting skills to be able to identify and correct discrepancies; cash handling experience is a strong asset; excellent computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardi Enterprise and Voyageur. Excellent oral and written communication skills including excellent interpersonal skills to work in a front-line position with clients from a diverse and multicultural community; strong organizational skills.
As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must submit a current Police Records Check and Vulnerable Position Screening from their local police service for approval by LMHC.
