Responsibilities:

Receive documentation and reports to adjudicate accident and sickness disability claims
-
Determine whether the claim is a covered condition under the policy
-
Analyze all appropriate documentation in regards to claim
-
Request information from attending physician, hospital, ambulance, specialists, OHIP;
-
Analyse and summarize information, scan and email summary to team MD
-
Monitor the claim progress and communicate with all parties involved including insured client

Enter all information into proprietary software and database
Qualifications:
-
5 years experience in Claims Adjudication. Preference given to those who specialize in accident and sickness disability claims

Certification required
-
Detailed knowledge of Accident and Sickness Disability products and ability to interpret policy provisions

Computer literate- able to learn new software quickly and gather information for reports and statistical analysis

Bilingual in French and English an asset
