We are currently looking for a Manager of Marketing, Communications & Sales Training to join our Marketing team. In this challenging role the incumbant will be responsible for Direct Mail, Branding, Communications as well as inside sales training to our collections floor.
Job Description: Manager of Marketing, Communications & Sales Training
Department: Marketing, Communications & Sales Training
Position Summary:
As the Manager of Marketing, Communications & Sales Training, the individual will be involved in the planning and implementation of all Marketing, Communications and Sales Training strategies. This includes responsibility for developing Aktiv Kapital Canada’s brand strategy and assuring both the brand and value proposition of the company is implemented and understood by all stakeholders. In addition, the individual will work closely with the Management Team to develop, implement, and communicate the strategic vision & goals of the organization. Also, as the primary resource for sales training you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of a comprehensive annual sales training plan that supports the collections objectives of the organization. You will be the subject matter expert for enhancing, leading and delivering of sales training to the collections floor. Ongoing you will monitor the effectiveness of sales training techniques and the suitability of the training programs. The individual will develop & manage budgets for all areas of responsibility.
Duties and Responsibilities: Marketing and Communications
· Lead development, implementation and analysis of Direct Mail Marketing strategy for organization
· Ensure all company outputs, experiences and business lines align to the Aktiv Kapital Brand and strategic vision of the organization
· Collaborate with Operations and Business Analysis Teams to incorporate Marketing theories into inventory treatment strategies and segmentations
- Identify and evaluate new marketing and brand awareness opportunities as they arise both within industry and local communities. This includes trade show attendance, targeted partner entertainment, advertising, press releases, etc.
- Develop and manage a Charitable Giving Strategy. This function includes assessment of current programs, development of centralized budget and ensuring social investments align with brand positioning of organization
- Oversee the research, development and maintenance of corporate marketing collateral including brochures, presentations, intranet, web content and corporate communications
- Manage all aspects of marketing campaigns including direction, creativity, copy and campaign components
- Responsible for all Workflow, Immediate and Manual letter: content, change maintenance process, rules document, drop record coding, introduction of new letters and process improvement to support operational goals
- Develop strong working relationships with all key vendor marketing contacts including ownership of external direct mail vendor relationship
- Develop and manage revenue generating contests for Operations
- Manage and direct all internal communications and communication channels. This includes: AK News, Intranet, flat screens, company presentations, etc.
- Act as Communications Coordinator for Group Business Reviews and Board Meetings
- Develop the budget/plan and maximize returns for the budgets in all areas of responsibility.
Sales Training
- Ensures the Collections Officers have the ability to overcome objections, and teach consultative selling techniques in order for clients to settle their debts
- Conducts company training programs for all skill levels, including basic sales skills, as well as advanced sales techniques for the collections floor
- Plans, conducts, formulates and implements a comprehensive training program for the collections staff
- The training components will be targeted toward new hires and present collections staff who may need one-on-one assistance or refresher training
- Facilitates role playing, and also other types of discussion and conducts participatory seminars for refresher training
- Monitors the effectiveness of sales training techniques and the suitability of training programs
Education/Experience Required:
- Degree or Diploma in Marketing and 2+ years of work experience preferred
- 1+ years Managing direct reports
- Experience in training sales techniques to a team of inside sales professionals
- Must also possess good leadership and should be able to motivate, teach and inspire the collections staff
- Must have at least 2+ years of experience in sales
- Should specialize in sales and marketing.
- Advanced Computer Skills (MS Office, spreadsheet applications, word-processing, graphics, desktop publishing, etc)
- Proven success in deploying marketing strategies
- Previous experience in direct (mail) marketing and website development
- Strong Project Management skills, analytical skills and business acumen
- Excellent strategic visioning skills aligned with practical hands-on approach
- Experience in Marketing, brand positioning, direct mail creation and management, creative direction and trade event production is necessary in this role
- Account Receivable Management experience an asset.
