Vice President of Operations

Our London Ontario client is looking for a VP of Operations for their internationally recognized company.
This VP will oversee daily operations while supporting growth and adding to the bottom line. They’ll focus on strategic planning, goal-setting and directing the company to achieve set goals.
Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations - production, manufacturing, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, maintenance
• Provide leadership to the operations team in the following areas: training, scheduling, planning, coaching, process and performance improvement
• Actively communicate cross-functionally to resolve issues regarding production, equipment, health and safety, quality, compliance and distribution.
• Ensure that all activities abide to legal and regulatory requirements, and carry out best practices, where applicable
• Follow standard operating procedures, GMP procedures and company policies to maintain the highest safety and quality standards
• Proactively monitor industry trends and developments
• Lead and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare and participate in internal/external audits

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in Operations Management in a manufacturing environment, Food or Pharmaceutical industries are preferred
• Experience in working with a startup facility is an asset
• Ability to work in and lead in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to recognize and respond to changing industry trends and priorities
