As a Junior Electrical Estimator, some of your key responsibilities will include:

As a Junior Electrical Estimator, some of your key responsibilities will include:
Review and interpret bid specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
- Gather and retain quotes on the costs of goods, materials, labour and equipment from suppliers and sub-trades.
- Prepare initial estimates by calculating material take-offs, equipment and labour rates for tender verification.
- Attend and participate in pre-tender meetings, including estimate reviews and tender closings.
- Review estimates with Hardie management as appropriate or as directed by management.
- Assist in recommending multiple scenarios based on cost, engineering quality or material availability.
- Revise bid packages and prepare addendums as needed.
- Developing a Schedule of Values
- Coordinate receipt, approval and submission of shop drawings
- Purchase standard materials
Desired Skills & Experience:
- College Diploma or construction related training
- 0-2 years electrical estimating experience in industrial construction
- Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Experience working with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent time management skills
- Detail-oriented
