Job Description
Drake International is looking for Machine Operators to join our client's site in St. Thomas. We are looking for professional individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
This is a full-time opportunity that will allow candidates to learn and grow their skillset on the job. Our client offers a great work environment and 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience within;
- Machine Operating
- Manufacturing / Production
What we offer:
- Wage: $19.00/hour
- Temp to perm with company benefits, RRSP, EAP program once get hired
- Weekly pay cheque
- Work hour: Rotating days/afternoons every two weeks
- Morning shift: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm
- Afternoon shift: Monday – Friday, 3pm – 11pm
What you do:
- Operate the machine
- Load material into machinery and unload finished product
- Inspect finished product for quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Quality control of finished product
- Sort, label, and package finished product
- Safely palletize finished product for warehousing
- Report any quality defects, machine issues, and safety concerns promptly to line leaders
- Able to perform basic maintenance and cleaning duties on the press
- Perform light cleaning tasks as required to maintain a safe and hazard free workspace
Who you are:
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment operating Counterbalance forklift
- Experience as a machine operator
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. Can be repetitive and demanding
- Being good with math
- Must be able to stand throughout the duration of shifts
- Must be able to commit to working full-time hours
- Must have or be able to obtain steel toed work boots and safety glasses
- Must have a strong work ethic and reliable attendance
