Position Overview:

Coldstream Concrete has an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to work as a Mechanic in a growing company.
As a key member of our precast production team, this individual works alongside a dedicated team to diagnose, repair, and perform PM services on various trucks, trailers, and forklifts.

Wage:  $27.00 - $40.00/hour (commensurate with experience)

Major Responsibilities:

• Mechanical repair and routine and emergency maintenance on a fleet of trucks and heavy equipment.
• Perform diagnosis on vehicle failure, including disassembly, repair and reassembly, as needed.
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Provide consultation on mechanical systems, components, electrical and hydraulics with Supervisor and Team.
• Undertake other duties, within scope, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Ontario High School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent (required)
• License/Certificate OR minimum 2nd year apprentice in one of the following:

- Truck and Coach Technician - Heavy Duty Equipment Technician - Powered Lift Truck Technician - Agricultural Equipment Technician

• Two (2) or more years of experience working as a mechanic in an industrial setting is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components (on-the-job knowledge and/or formal education)
• Able to diagnose a wide range of issues
