Huron invites applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the Vice Presidents.

SUMMARY:  

Reporting to VP, Finance and Administration and VP, University Growth, the Executive Assistant is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties in support of the Executive Offices. Duties include but are not limited to the day-to-day management of office operations, prepare materials and presentations for meetings, arranging travel plans, meeting minute-taking and distribution, scheduling appointments and drafting both internal and external correspondence. The Executive Assistant is also required to maintain confidentiality and professionally interact with employees, management and the public.

The incumbent must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions. Overtime and flexible working hours, to include work outside of traditional office hours, may be required from time to time to meet the demands of the positions and Huron.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Post-secondary education Business Administration, or relevant disciplined, required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an executive assistant to senior management.
  • Excellent understanding of University’s organizational structure, strategic plan and operational plans, programs, policies, and operations.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations and how they impact the university’s interaction with students and public.
  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Superior command of English language, writing and editing skills
  • Excellent time management skills and a demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive working style to anticipate the needs of the Vice Presidents and other members of the Senior Leadership team.
  • Discretion and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive materials in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work with diverse communities with respect, sensitivity, creativity, innovation, and cultural understanding.
