OBJECTIVE:
Provide support for STIHL Limited’s overall distribution strategies. The ability to recognize the most cost efficient and timely processes are key to the success of the Logistics group. This position works closely with all departments to ensure our corporate customer service goals are met for both external and internal customers.

This position works closely with all departments to ensure our corporate customer service goals are met for both external and internal customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain day-to-day relationships with transportation and freight forwarding suppliers
- Develop and maintain day-to-day relationships with STIHL Limited’s Customs Broker
- Manage day-to-day relationships with STIHL Limited’s 3PL providers to ensure they meet STIHL Limited’s service goals
- Work with Purchasing Manager to coordinate production process for specialized fuel products
- Work with Purchasing Manager in negotiation of inbound and outbound freight rates
- Work with distribution centres on a daily basis to manage the flow of dangerous goods paperwork
- Monitor freight supplier invoices to ensure they meet agreed upon rate structures
- Support internal customers’ transportation needs
- Organize dangerous goods shipments and other special shipments to our dealer network
- Inventory management assistance utilizing DRP (distribution resource planning) software
- Develop and maintain NAFTA certificates
- Maintain weights and measures in the shipping file
- Monitor MSDS sheets ensuring we have the correct document on file from all suppliers
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Excellent proficiency with computer software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe
- Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and versatility are essential
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail
- Experience in developing relationships with internal and externals partners
- Post-Secondary education in Logistics would be an asset
