Job Description
Senior Manager, Compliance
Location: St. Thomas, ON
Come build the future with us! We are looking for a dynamic leader who will manage and lead compliance teams to ensure timely execution of a robust compliance process.
What you will bring:
- A three or four-year diploma / degree at an accredited college or university and 10 years of related experience with plumbing products and codes/standards
- Familiarity with relevant documents such as design specs, work instructions, training guides and test methods
- Knowledge of internal and industry standards and test methods for plumbing products, such as CSA, ASSE, ASME, ASTM as well as manufacturing processes would be beneficial
- Proficiency at software applications Word, Excel and Access is mandatory.
What you will do:
- Manage compliance team to ensure execution of compliance policy
- Develop compliance policy as required to ensure MCL has robust compliance process
- Oversee engineering test lab and internal certifications
- Lead compliance committee to ensure all compliance related actions are performed in a timely manner
- Partner with sister business units and ensure robust process for managing change and product compliance.
- Partner with legal team as required based on project needs
- Write submission reports to 3rd party certifiers.
- Update listings and modify submission reports to 3rd party certifiers
- Provide support to plants’ QA departments for follow-up audit issues
- Assure test reports are complete for listing purposes, requiring significant clarifications and adjustments.
- Coordinate with 3rd party certifying bodies to assure products are listed prior to launch.
- Provide assistance with internal audit program for evaluation of existing products and works with laboratory personnel to maintain test equipment calibration records.
- Provide training, guidance and technical direction to Engineering personnel on CSA, ASSE, ASME, and IAPMO requirements
- Prepare coordinated response to proposed code changes.
