Job Overview:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Line Supervisor will supervise all aspects of production, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of production processes throughout a shift. The Line Supervisor will take particular responsibility for ensuring operational safety and product quality, training and supervising operators, meeting production targets, manufacturing process continuous improvement and managing environmental controls and departmental cost controls.

Responsibilities:
• Manage, motivate, train and develop production operators.
• Ensure product quality throughout the production process through adherence to quality systems, processes and procedures.
• Monitor, measure and report on daily production-related processes.
• Practice health and safety leadership in ensuring that production staff adhere to Natra’s Health and Safety policy.
• Lead the production team in ensuring that all aspects of production are documented and overseen, and that all records are verified.
• Ensure effective oral and written communication among all production staff.
• Troubleshoot and solve production-related problems.
• Apply lean manufacturing methodology and tools to improve efficiency
• Facilitate excellence, success and growth through active participation in Natra’s continuous improvement plans.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.

Essential Qualifications:
• 5 years experience leading people
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop production staff
• Strong knowledge of, and commitment to, safe work practices and Quality standards
• Driven to improve people, processes and results.
• Exceptional team-building and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated and self-directed.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Relevant post-secondary education.
• Experience in implementing lean manufacturing, 6 sigma, 5S, Kanban and other manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies and tools would be an asset
• Experience in bottling, packaging, or chocolate manufacturing would be an asset
